CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. Monday. City of Charlottesville government offices will open on a 2-hour delay at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
Primary streets in the City of Charlottesville are in fair condition and secondary streets are in moderate condition. There is a good chance for refreeze overnight and over 200 tons of salt were applied by City Public Works crews today. There will be a full night crew working with a focus on widening primary routes, widening secondary routes, cleaning intersections and responding to refreeze issues.
Stay off the snowy and icy roads if possible, but if you have to go out remember: Ice and snow, take it slow—slower speed, slower acceleration, slower steering, and slower braking. #WinterSafety.
