Rivanna Water Line Construction Project Information Meeting Ragged Mountain Reservoir to Observatory Water Treatment Plant

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority will hold a Construction Project Information Meeting at 6 pm on January 29th, 2025, at the RWSA Administration Building located at 695 Moores Creek Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22902.

This Project Meeting will review a major piping construction project which will provide a long-term increase in our community’s drinking water supply. This project will include about four miles of 36-inch underground piping to be installed near Reservoir Road from the Ragged Mountain Reservoir to the Observatory Water Treatment Plant located off McCormick Road. Work will also include construction of a large water pumping station near Regents School on Reservoir Road. The project will be completed over the next four years and will be managed by staff from the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority.
