Paul Davis Jones Sentenced to Six Months

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Today, in Charlottesville General District Court, Judge Andrew K. Sneathern sentenced Paul Davis Jones, a former non-sworn CPD employee,  to six months in jail after he pled guilty to a warrant charging him with misdemeanor computer trespass. All six months of that sentence were suspended on the condition of 12 months of good behavior.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Joe Platania and Charlottesville Police Chief Michael Kochis stated that “as we have previously informed our community, allegations involving the misuse of law enforcement computer networks will be investigated, charged and criminally prosecuted when appropriate. We would also both like to thank the Virginia State Police for their assistance in investigating this matter."
