CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Virginia Treasury and the Charlottesville Treasurer’s Office are bringing an Unclaimed Property Name Search Event to Charlottesville! Examples of Unclaimed Property include old bank accounts, securities, insurance payments, utility refunds, or other lost checks.

Residents are encouraged to stop by City Hall on Friday to check the State’s Unclaimed Property Database and get assistance with starting a claim.  For more information please contact the Treasurer’s Office at citytreas@charlottesville.gov or 434-970-3146.
