Colegedo Mokus Pleads Guilty to Distributing Almost Three and a Half Pounds of Fentanyl

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Today in Charlottesville Circuit Court, Colegedo Vincent Mokus pled guilty to the July 16, 2024 distribution of fentanyl on Angus Road in the City of Charlottesville. A Certificate of Analysis prepared by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science indicated that the 13,546 pills submitted for testing contained fentanyl and had a total net weight of 1538.13 grams, or almost three and a half pounds. He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM and faces up to 40 years in prison.

Charlottesville Commonwealth’s Attorney Joe Platania stated “ While those struggling with addiction need support and treatment, public safety demands that individuals selling lethal drugs such as fentanyl face criminal prosecution and a significant period of incarceration.”
