Traffic Advisory: Road Closures During 13th Annual Tom Tom Festival
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – In preparation for the 13th annual Tom Tom Festival, Public Works and the Charlottesville Police Department will conduct temporary road closures around the Downtown Mall this weekend.
Old Preston Avenue, 2nd Street NW, and Heather Heyer Way (4th Street NE) will be closed to all motorists starting Friday, April 18 at 12 PM until Saturday, April 19 at 11 PM.
The public should expect to see an increased police presence in the area, and motorists are urged to be mindful of the closures and remain alert for increased pedestrian traffic. Motorists should also be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and towed. If your vehicle is towed, please call the police department’s non-emergency number at 434-970-3280.
The City of Charlottesville appreciates the public’s cooperation and encourages everyone to enjoy the festivities safely.
