Community Days of Service in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA –  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

We honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and celebrate the wisdom of civil rights leaders and local community builders by embracing the opportunity to give back to our community through service and community stewardship. We invite you to join the City of Charlottesville, the County of Albemarle, Jefferson-Madison Regional Library, United Way, the Rivanna Trail Foundation, the Ivy Creek Natural Area and Historic Riverview Farm, Sentara, and others to engage in a variety of service projects.
