Raymaqu'a Nicholas Sentenced to 43 Years in Prison
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Today, in Charlottesville Circuit Court, Judge Claude V. Worrell sentenced Raymaqu’a Antonio Nicholas to 43 years in prison for the February 22, 2023 murder of Nicklous Pendleton. 20 years of the time imposed by the court was suspended leaving an active sentence to serve of 23 years.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Joe Platania stated, “although no sentence imposed by the Court can bring back the life lost by the Pendleton family, the sentence reflects the seriousness of the crime and its impact on the community.” This case was prosecuted by Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Nina-Alice Antony.
