2023 Sister City Grants Program Application Deadline EXTENDED -- to January 18, 2023 $24K Funding Available
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The City of Charlottesville Sister Cities Commission (CSCC) has extended the deadline for applications for Sister City Grants – proposals will now be accepted up to and including Wednesday, Jan. 18th.
Apply now! Funding awards of up to $4,000 per project are available – to Charlottesville area nonprofits, arts organizations, schools, businesses, and individuals.
Seek support for your ideas and initiatives that serve the mission of the Cville Sister City Program: to promote understanding and foster relationships between citizens and organizations in the Charlottesville area and our Sister Cities through cultural, economic, educational, and humanitarian activities.
From a total budget of $24,000, grants are available for projects that benefit the Charlottesville community as well as our Sister City communities in Besançon, France; Poggio a Caiano, Italy; Winneba, Ghana; and our Friendship City, Huehuetenango, Guatemala.
Get creative! Past grants have supported initiatives in the areas of history, film, music, municipal services, digital communications and connectivity, education, literary and visual arts, sports, photography, & more! Whether you’re 8 or 80, we welcome your application (under age 18 requires parent signature).
