Charlottesville Sister Cities Commission Presents "Rooms by the Sea"
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The Charlottesville Sister Cities Commission is proud to present, Rooms by the Sea, a band hailing from Charlottesville's Italian sister city, Poggio a Caiano, in Tuscany. They will give a concert at The Front Porch on Saturday, December 10, at 8:00 PM. The band won a competition this past summer for the prize of performing in Charlottesville.
Members of Rooms by the Sea include Teresa Rossi (voice, guitar), Lapo Querci (keyboard), Elena Collini (drums, vocals) and Mattia Papi (bass, vocals). The band is named after Edward Hopper's masterpiece painting. Musical influences include Of Monsters and Men, Florence and the Machine, and 1990s British rock.
Their debut album, “Rivers and Beds," was released in June and is available on CD and Spotify.
