TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Street Closure Announcement for this Week's Grand Illumination
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – In anticipation of this week’s Grand Illumination, Friday, December 2, 5-8PM at Ting Pavilion, the following road closures and parking adjustments will take place:
City Hall, Annex, and Key Recreation Center parking lots will close Friday, December 2 at 2PM. Additional handicap parking will be designated along Market Street. Part of Water Street will also close at 2PM.
2nd and 4th Street vehicular crossings on the Downtown Mall will be closed from 4PM to 9PM.
There will be no parking at 7th Street lot after 5PM. Complimentary parking will be available at Market and Water Street Garages 4PM-9PM.
Event security of the perimeter will be put in place at 4PM and activated at 5PM.
