Message from Charlottesville City Council
The Charlottesville City Council sends our condolences to the families of D’Sean Perry, Lavel Davis Jr., and Devin Chandler who were killed Sunday night. Our thoughts are also with those who were injured.
The pain and trauma being suffered by the family and friends of Mr. Perry, Mr. Davis, and Mr. Chandler; wounded who are still in hospital; and those who are now dealing with the shock of bearing witness and surviving the terrifying experience of November 13th is something that no one should ever experience. In the face of this agony and distress words can never be enough.
Council sends its love and light to those grieving and those who will now begin their long journey in recovery.
The City of Charlottesville stands with the University of Virginia’s students, faculty and staff in this hour of grief.
