Reginald Eugene Lindsay, Jr. Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Today in Charlottesville Circuit Court, Reginald Eugene Lindsay, Jr. pled guilty to the October 14, 2023 homicide of Danny O’Brien Hall on East Market Street. He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM and faces up to ten years in prison.
Charlottesville Commonwealth’s Attorney Joe Platania stated “while not an ideal outcome for Mr. Hall’s family, the almost total lack of cooperation by individuals with knowledge of this incident led to the case being resolved by a guilty plea to manslaughter. The Charlottesville Police Department gathered all available evidence and made substantial efforts to locate and attempt to interview eyewitnesses. This case highlights the difficulty of successfully investigating and prosecuting crimes of violence without community cooperation. Law enforcement is to be commended for their hard work.”
