Traffic Impacts Expected During Restroom Installation at Riverview Park March 5
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The City of Charlottesville Parks & Recreation Department advises the public of a temporary closure to vehicular traffic at Riverview Park (1909 Chesapeake Street) to accommodate delivery and installation of a new restroom facility on Thursday, March 5.
The prefabricated restroom structure will be delivered by a standard flatbed tractor trailer and installed using a large crane. Once onsite, the restroom building will be offloaded and set into place. The crane and associated equipment are expected to impact vehicular access from 7:00 AM until no later than 3:00 PM
For safety reasons, vehicular access to the park will be temporarily restricted during the installation process. Pedestrians are asked to use caution and follow all posted signage and contractor direction while work is underway.
This restroom installation is part of the City’s continued investment in improving park amenities and visitor experience. Additional updates will be provided if the schedule changes due to weather or other factors.
