Another Parking Option
Commuters now have another parking option! The City of Charlottesville offers free parking at 1505 Avon Street Extended. Commuters may use the lot for carpooling or taking the bus. A decal is not needed, however commuters should know that overnight parking is not permitted.
The Park and Ride lot is served by Route 2 every thirty minutes Monday through Saturday from 6:35 am to 11:35 pm.
Driving Directions
When traveling on 64 East
- Take Exit 120
- Turn left onto 5th Street
- Turn right onto Bent Creek Road
- Turn left onto Fifth Street Station Parkway
- Turn left onto Avon Street Extended
- The destination will be on the right after passing the parking lot full of school buses.
When traveling on 64 West
- Take Exit 121
- Turn right onto Monticello Avenue
- Turn left onto Elliott Avenue
- Turn left onto Avon Street (Avon Street turns into Avon Street Extended)
- The destination will be on the left after Charlottesville Self Storage.
