Forested land in the northern area of the City has been donated for public use as park land
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Department of Parks and Recreation is happy to announce that an additional area of forested land in the northern area of the City has been donated for public use as park land, allowing the area to remain forested green space into the future.
The 1.44 acre property was donated by Lochlyn Properties IX, LLC, the members of which are David and Susan Landin. It includes two lots at the intersection of Agnese Street and Rio Road adjacent to Meadow Creek at the City limits. The land connects to parkland purchased over 10 years ago that connects to Holmes Avenue, and will provide the City with an opportunity to connect the two streets with a trail.
