Play All Day VA Activities Around Charlottesville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Charlottesville Parks & Recreation will host various Play All Day VA activities on Friday, June 20 throughout Charlottesville Parks and Recreation facilities and parks. Play All Day VA is a statewide initiative using the longest day of the year to highlight the importance of Parks and Recreation departments and the impact they have on community engagement. The day-long event features free swimming all day at Washington Park Pool and Onesty Family Aquatic Center with free admission to all Charlottesville Parks and Recreation centers including: Carver Recreation Center, Herman Key Jr. Recreation Center, Smith Aquatic and Fitness Center, Tonsler Recreation Center, and Crow Recreation Center. Among the activities and events featured are a field day at Tonsler Park from 10 AM-12 PM, a live DJ and Kona Ice (while supplies last) at Washington Park from 5-7 PM, and Swimming Under the Stars at Washington Park Pool from 7-9 PM.
Washington Park Pool is located at 1001 Preston Avenue. Parking is available at the lot located next to the swimming pool or at the lower level of the park. Onesty Family Aquatic Center is located at 300 Meade Avenue. Parking is available at the lot located next to the swimming pool. For more information, please call 434-970-3260.
