Charlottesville Parks & Recreation Outdoor Pools Open Memorial Day Weekend
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Charlottesville Parks & Recreation will open its two (2) outdoor pools for the 2025 summer season beginning Saturday, May 24. The Onesty Family Aquatic Center and Booker T. Washington Park Pool offer residents and visitors a fun, safe way to enjoy aquatic experiences and beat the summer heat.
Each outdoor pool has an entrance fee, and patrons have the option of paying a daily admission or purchasing a summer outdoor pool pass. New for 2025, Charlottesville Parks & Recreation has partnered with LIV unLtd to manage the day-to-day operations at each pool. LIV has extensive experience in recreational and pool facility management in residential communities, colleges, and Parks & Recreation Departments. For the customer, the process and experience will remain the same. Concession services will also be available at both pools as well as birthday party options.
All pools will be open during Memorial Day weekend and will be closed from May 27 through May 30. Beginning May 31, pools will open daily, with the exception of Onesty Family Aquatic Center, which will remain closed on Wednesdays until July 2. Starting July 2, Onesty will also begin daily operations.
