Tree Work – Charlottesville Downtown Mall
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Charlottesville Parks and Recreation will be performing yearly tree maintenance on the Downtown Mall in January 2025. The tree work is expected to last five days (over a two-week period to allow for inclement weather), starting Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 8 AM. Tree crews will try to complete the work in five consecutive days.
Maintenance will include structural pruning and removal of dead branches for all canopy trees along the length of the mall. Tree work will closely resemble operations performed in January 2023 and January 2024. Pedestrians are encouraged to be aware as they approach work zones as foot traffic may be delayed.
