City of Charlottesville Facilities to Open at Normal Operating Hours Tomorrow

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA –  The City of Charlottesville will open City Hall and all City facilities at normal operating hours Thursday, January 29.

City crews will continue monitoring conditions and addressing snow and ice impacts on roadways, sidewalks, and public facilities. Residents and employees are urged to use caution when traveling, allow extra time for commutes, and remain alert for icy patches—particularly on sidewalks, parking lots, and in less-traveled areas.

Safety remains the City’s top priority. Residents and employees who are able to delay travel or work remotely are encouraged to do so when possible.

The City will continue to share updates through its website and official communication channels as conditions evolve.
