Phone outages at the City of Charlottesville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - UPDATE: AS OF 6/25/2025, PHONE SERVICE HAS BEEN RESTORED. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
The City of Charlottesville is experiencing phone outages impacting all City desk and mobile phones. We will advise once this issue has been resolved. We do not have a timeline for restoring service at this time.
Please call 911 in case of emergency as always.
Please also call 911 to reach Utilities Dispatch at any time during this outage in the case of a utility emergency. If you call 911 for a utility emergency, your call will be rerouted to our Utilities Dispatch so we can react appropriately.
If you smell gas, have utility line damage, or have any other utility emergency, please call 911 immediately.
Our buildings remain open during normal business hours and citizens may email staff for support.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue and apologize for the inconvenience.
