Charlottesville Human Services Hosts Free “Party in the Park” for Tweens and Teens

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The City of Charlottesville’s Department of Human Services is excited to invite local youth to the Mid-Summer Break Party in the Park, a free, action-packed event for tweens and teens ages 12 to 17.

Taking place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 3 to 6 PM at Booker T. Washington Park, this event is designed to bring young people together for a summer afternoon filled with fun, games, and community.

Highlights of the event include:

A Kickball Tournament for teams of 10–15 players (all participants must be ages 12–17)
Free food trucks
Live DJ performance by DJ Nick Feggans
Foam party, field day relays, yard games, and arts & crafts
Prizes and more!

Registration is required for the kickball tournament, and space is limited. Teams and individual youth are encouraged to sign up early (link).
