Charlottesville Human Services Hosts Free “Party in the Park” for Tweens and Teens
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The City of Charlottesville’s Department of Human Services is excited to invite local youth to the Mid-Summer Break Party in the Park, a free, action-packed event for tweens and teens ages 12 to 17.
Taking place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 3 to 6 PM at Booker T. Washington Park, this event is designed to bring young people together for a summer afternoon filled with fun, games, and community.
Highlights of the event include:
- A Kickball Tournament for teams of 10–15 players (all participants must be ages 12–17)
- Free food trucks
- Live DJ performance by DJ Nick Feggans
- Foam party, field day relays, yard games, and arts & crafts
- Prizes and more!
Registration is required for the kickball tournament, and space is limited. Teams and individual youth are encouraged to sign up early (link).
