Charlottesville Police Seize Narcotics, Firearm, and Cash in Prospect Ave Search Warrants



CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - On January 15, 2026, the 3A Regional Drug and Gang Taskforce, in which CPD is a member of, executed two search warrants related to narcotics and illegal firearm possession in the 700 block of Prospect Ave in the Greenstone on 5th neighborhood.

As a result of these search warrants, approximately $3000 in cash, a revolver, and approximately 120 grams of methamphetamine were seized.  

Marcus Laman Turner, a 41-year-old resident of Albemarle County, was taken into custody without incident at scene and charged with the following:

  • 18.2-248 – Possession of Schedule I/II Substance W/ Intent To Sell
  • 18.2-308.2 – Possession of Firearm By Non-Violent Felon
  • 18.2-308.4 – Possession of Firearm While Possessing Schedule I/II Substance

Turner remains in custody at the Albemarle/Charlottesville Regional Jail. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
