Officers Respond to Shots Fired Call Near Willow Dr. and Grace St.; Two Suspects Arrested

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - At approximately 12:09 a.m. on December 7, 2025, Charlottesville Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Willow Drive and Grace Street.

Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings adjacent to the soccer field on the property of Sunrise Elementary School. A search of the surrounding area led officers to two individuals believed to be involved in the incident. After conducting an on-scene investigation, both suspects were taken into custody without further incident.

Officers also recovered two firearms as evidence.

“I’m proud of the swift and coordinated response by our officers,” said Chief Kochis. “Their quick work in locating and apprehending two armed individuals shortly after the incident helped bring this situation under control and ensured the safety of the surrounding community.
