Route 7 Detour – Emmet Street Closure (June 9–August 15)
Due to a utility project, Emmet Street between Stadium Road and Jefferson Park Avenue will be closed starting Monday, June 9 through Friday, August 15, 2025.
This road closure will affect Charlottesville Area Transit’s Route 7, and the following four bus stops will be temporarily out of service:
Stop #10660 – Emmet St @ Snyder Tennis Courts
Stop #10472 – Emmet St @ Central Grounds Garage
Stop #17102 – Emmet St @ Spring Lane
Stop #16819 – Emmet St @ Ruffner Hall
Both inbound and outbound directions will be impacted. Riders are encouraged to use alternate nearby stops and plan for potential delays.
