Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) Bus Involved in Barracks Road Collision
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – This morning at approximately 8:33 AM, a Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) bus was involved in an incident near the 2500 block of Barracks Road. According to reports from the Albemarle County Police Department (ACPD) and Albemarle County Fire Rescue (ACFR), the bus struck three vehicles before crashing into a single-family residence.
Emergency personnel quickly responded to the scene, where the homeowner and the bus driver were transported to UVA Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional injuries have been reported at this time.
All lanes of travel in the affected area have now reopened. However, first responders remain on-site conducting their investigation, and motorists are advised to proceed with caution while traveling through the area.
