This adjustment allows the ETA Spot app to fully reflect the changes, ensuring a seamless experience for our riders.
Clarification on Route 6: We also want to clarify that the UVA hospital stop on Route 6 will not be removed as part of these changes. The route will continue to serve this stop, providing critical access to one of Charlottesville’s key destinations.
Service Enhancements:

- Improved Frequency on Route 6
- What’s Changing: Route 6 will now operate with 30-minute frequencies from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM on weekdays, offering a faster and more reliable connection between key destinations.
- Why It Matters: Increasing the frequency of Route 6 will improve service availability and reduce wait times for passengers, providing a more efficient and attractive option for riders.
Additional Service Updates:
- Collective Bargaining Agreement:
- Per our new union contract, all drivers working an eight-hour shift will now receive two 10-minute breaks to ensure a fair and balanced work schedule.
- Route Alignment Changes:

- Several new timepoints have been added across routes, including on Routes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11 to better reflect travel patterns and improve overall system efficiency.
