2023 Climate Action Work Plan Posted
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - As we move forward with implementation of Charlottesville's Community Climate Action Plan, the Climate Protection Program has published the 2023 Climate Action Work Plan. This is a high-level list of the climate-related initiatives and projects the City is working on this year to move our community climate goals forward. It was created with input from staff across City departments and organizations working in the climate space. For the community-led initiatives section, we invited partners across the community we know are working on climate to share their plans and programs too. This will serve as the foundation for our annual reporting of progress towards meeting our climate goals of 45% emissions reduction by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050.
