This public workshop will review this years SMART SCALE transportation projects that Charlottesville, Albemarle County, the Charlottesville/Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission are applying for. SMART SCALE is the data driven process Virginia uses to evaluate potential transportation projects based on key factors like how they improve safety, reduce congestion, increase accessibility, contribute to economic development, promote efficient land use, and affect the environment.
