| The purpose of this bid is to secure a contractor for an annual contract with the City of Charlottesville to
upgrade infrastructure related to water meters and service lines. Many of these meters require installation of new vaults and
boxes, meter setters, service lines, bypass lines, test ports or some combination. The Contractor will be responsible for
installation of all piping and materials required to upgrade the water service to current City Standards. Work will include, but is
not limited to, demolition of existing infrastructure, installation of new vaults, meter setters, and service lines, connection to
existing water mains and private service lines, and restoration of asphalt, concrete, and landscaping. At the discretion of the City
of Charlottesville, the contract is subject to four 1-year renewals. Individual Task Orders shall be given to the Contractor who
shall perform the necessary work. Compensation shall be based on the unit prices provided in this bid.

Hand delivered bids may ONLY be delivered on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 305 4TH STREET NW, CHARLOTTESVILLE (Utilities/Public Works Administration Building) between the hours of 1:00-2:00 PM (local prevailing time). Bids will not be accepted at any other building access location. While on
City property Bidders are expected to adhere to Governor Ralph Northam’s restrictions and social distancing rules must be observed.
