The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified firms to develop an adaptive Urban Forest Management Plan (“UFMP”) for the City of Charlottesville (the “City”) that will foster a sustainable urban forest that can tolerate increased pressures from climate change and increased urbanization. The City seeks professional services in the areas of arboriculture, urban forestry, geographic information systems (GIS), natural resource management, and community process facilitation, as well as in other areas of expertise outlined in this RFP.
