On August 31, 2020, at approximately 1046 hours, Charlottesville Police Department officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Emmet Street North at the intersection of Barracks Road.
Two people were transported to UVA Hospital for treatment. One of the victims is listed in critical condition at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Charlottesville Police Department Traffic Unit.
Portions of Emmet Street and Barracks Road remain closed while officers investigate and clear the scene. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
