On August 30, 2020, at approximately 2121 hours, Charlottesville Police Department officers responded to a motor vehicle crash involving two motorcycles on 5th Street SW near the intersection of Cleveland Avenue.
Rahmean Najuan Rose, a 23-year-old resident of Charlottesville, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another male victim was transported to UVA Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Charlottesville Police Department Traffic Unit.
This is the second fatal crash investigated by CPD in 2020.
