Charlottesville Man Charged in Mason St Shooting
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - At approximately 12:27 a.m. on August 22nd, Charlottesville police officers were called to the area of Mason St for the report of a shooting.
The adult male victim located on scene was transported to UVA Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to fully recover. As a result of this investigation, an adult male suspect was identified and charged with a firearm related offense.
Esteban Benjamin Fortin, a Charlottesville resident, has been charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm in violation of VA Code section 18.2-308.2.
