CPD Investigates Assault on University Ave (Original Release)
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - On April 21, 2024 at approximately 2:06AM, University of Virginia police officers were alerted to an assault that had just taken place in the 1400 block of University Ave.
On April 21, 2024 at approximately 2:06AM, University of Virginia police officers were alerted to an assault that had just taken place in the 1400 block of University Ave. The victim of the assault, an adult male, was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The incident was transferred to the Charlottesville Police Department (CPD) and detectives were called in to begin an investigation. At this time, CPD is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the driver of either of the vehicles that are photographed and both males in the attached photos.
