CPD Obtains Warrants for Suspect in April 16 Shooting
CPD Detectives have obtained warrants for Corinthian “Zayquan” Brown in regards to the shooting that occurred at approximately 7:09 p.m. on April 16, 2024. Further investigation revealed that the shooting actually occurred at the intersection of Cherry Ave and Ridge St, which was confirmed by evidence found at that scene.
Brown has been charged with the following:
- 18.2-51-Malicious Wounding
- 18.2-286.1-Shooting from a Vehicle
- 18.2-154-Malicously Shooting at a Vehicle
- 18.2-53.1-Use of Firearm During Malicious Wounding

Brown is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
