Suspects Charged in 6th St Case, CPD Seeks Information
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - On March 13, 2024, Charlottesville Police Department detectives, with the assistance of the Virginia State Police and Albemarle County Police tactical teams, executed search warrants in the 100 block of Stribling Ave in the City of Charlottesville and the 800 block of Mallside Forest Court in Albemarle County.
These search warrants were in furtherance of the investigation into the shooting incident that occurred on March 5, 2024 in the 700 block of 6th St SE, in the City of Charlottesville.
One juvenile male was taken into custody during this operation for 18.2-51 – Attempted Malicious Wounding, 18.2-53.1 – Use/Display of Firearm during Commission of a Felony, and 18.2-308.2-Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon related to the March 5th case. CPD holds additional arrest warrants to be served on individuals related to this case.

Eric Dweh
- 18.2-51 – Attempted Malicious Wounding
- 18.2-53.1 – Use/Display of Firearm during Commission of a Felony
- 18.2-56.1 – Reckless Handling of Firearm
- 18.2-308.2 – Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
