Charlottesville Police Department (CPD) Investigates Homicide Near Elliewood Avenue
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – On Friday, March 18, 2023 at approximately 5:31 a.m., the victim, 26-year-old Charlottesville resident Cody Brian Smith passed away from his wounds.
The shooting occurred early this morning in the parking lot near Elliewood Avenue and involved the victim, 26-year-old Cody Brian Smith, and an unidentified shooter. A vehicle, described as a silver, four-door sedan may have been involved.
