Charlottesville Fire Department Welcomes New Emergency Services Program Specialist


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Charlottesville Fire Department hires new EMS Billing and Compliance Specialist.

The Charlottesville Fire Department has hired a new EMS Billing and Compliance to support the department’s Fire/EMS transport program.

David Davies career in emergency medical services started when he became a national registry paramedic after joining a volunteer fire department in Western Pennsylvania. He has held various positions with some of the largest EMS providers and has experience both teaching and managing initial EMS education programs within the community college system.

David has an MBA in Healthcare Management with additional project management coursework. After graduation, he was employed with Sumter County, Florida as a Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager. This role oversaw the County's emergency medical services contract with a third-party vendor. He is also credited with implementing a continuous quality improvement program for Sumter County Fire Department. 

According to Deputy Chief Rogers, “David brings a wide array of experience to the department, and we look forward to working with him."
