CPD Seeking Assistance Locating a Missing Adult
UPDATE 8/17/2022:
The Charlottesville Police Department continues its search for missing adult, John Milton Harris III. Since he was reported missing on July 9, 2022, multiple searches have been conducted with the assistance of the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. At the time of his disappearance, Harris was living at a campground behind Moose’s by the Creek Restaurant on the 1700 Block of Monticello Road.
Harris was last seen on July 1, 2022 in the early morning hours. Harris is 60 years old, 5’8 in height, and weighs 190lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
Virginia State Police are assisting with this investigation.
Harris has previously lived in Richmond, VA and has family that live in Lancaster, VA.

UPDATE 7/19/2022:
The search for Mr. Harris is still ongoing. Search teams will continue to be utilized in an effort to locate Mr. Harris. Mr. Harris was reportedly last seen in the early morning hours of July 1st, 2022 in the area of Moore’s Creek.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing adult, John Milton Harris III. Mr. Harris is a 59 year old white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall with a medium build, and he suffers from several medical issues. Mr. Harris has not been seen for approximately two weeks.
The Charlottesville Police Department is utilizing search teams this week in an effort to locate Mr. Harris. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please notify CPD at 434-970-3280 or call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
