CFD mourns the loss of retired Firefighter Floyd A. Gray
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - Charlottesville Fire Department. Charlottesville Fire Department was notified of the death of one of its long-time retired firefighters, Floyd A. Gray.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, June 9, 2022, the Charlottesville Fire Department was notified of the death of one of its long-time retired firefighters, Floyd A. Gray. FF Gray passed away under hospice care in Georgia.
FF Floyd Gray worked for the Charlottesville Fire Department as a firefighter for over 29 years. He began his career on July 1, 1967, and celebrated his retirement on September 30, 1996. We will honor his service to the community and his commitment to the Fire Department by draping our station doors in black bunting cloth for the next 30 days.
We are keeping FF Floyd Gray’s family in our thoughts and prayers.
