Charlottesville, VA - The Charlottesville Police Department has been informed that the Fry's Spring Beach Club was the site of a private event where a portion of the funds collected would be donated to a local nonprofit organization called Peace in the Streets.
CPD would like to issue an apology to Peace in the Streets for being unable to clarify in the first release that they were a fundraising beneficiary, due to information provided early on in the investigation that indicated the group was listed on a flyer for the event, as well as an application to Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control for the event.
