CFD Now Hiring Deputy Fire Chief
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Fire Department (CFD) is actively seeking a Deputy Fire Chief.
The Charlottesville Fire Department (CFD) is NOW HIRING for the position of Deputy Fire Chief.
This role includes performing complex protective service and supporting the administrative activities of CFD, reporting directly to the Fire Chief. The chosen candidate will act independently, maintaining diverse functional areas and specializations within the department. The Deputy Fire Chief will also possess the ability to train staff on the policies and procedures that reflect CFD's mission to uphold 21st century firefighting principles.
The hiring amount for this position is $139,277.49 Annually. This is a full-time, exempt, position which provides excellent benefits including 13 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday, paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance options with employer contribution, employer-paid life insurance, City's retirement options, gym membership reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education/training opportunities. As a Deputy Director or equivalent, the incumbent will receive 40 hours of discretionary leave per calendar year.
