CPD Responds to Shooting on E Market St
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Police Department (CPD) is seeking information related to a shooting that occurred on July 28, 2024 in the 100 block of E Market St.
On July 28, 2024 at approximately 1:38 a.m., Charlottesville police officers were patrolling in the area of the 100 block of E Market St when they were flagged down by a citizen who advised that his friend had just been shot. A 33-year-old male victim was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound and is in stable condition. This appears to be an isolated incident.
