CFD Now Accepting Firefighter/EMT Applications
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Fire Department (CFD) is currently accepting applications for non-certified and certified Firefighters/EMTs.
The deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. This position is open to everyone regardless of background and prior experience. Women and certified Firefighters/EMTs are especially encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will receive paid training to obtain their firefighter and EMT certifications during the 6-month recruit school. The starting salary for this position is $50,552, including an attractive benefits and retirement package.
