Cville Plans Together: Small Group Discussion (#1 of 5)

Thursday, May 21, 2020

We will be holding a series of small-group interactive discussions to engage directly with community members and encourage discussion about community goals and priorities, especially focused on equity and affordability. It will be possible to join these discussions by calling in, or by using the Zoom webinar platform on your phone, computer, tablet, or other device. You must register in advance to attend a discussion. The same questions will be asked at each session. Space is limited, so we request that you only choose one to attend.

Join our webinar series to talk about community priorities and goals, particularly related to issues of equity and affordability

The City of Charlottesville announces a series of opportunities to participate in Cville Plans Together, the community process for updating the citywide Comprehensive Plan.

The City is working in partnership with a consultant team on a two-year effort to update the city’s Comprehensive Plan (including creation of a focused Affordable Housing Plan) and complete a re-write of the zoning ordinance.

This process, branded Cville Plans Together, is kicking off with a virtual conversation series and webinars, as the project team begins to talk with the community about priorities and goals for the future, particularly related to issues of equity and affordability.

There are three options for dates to attend webinars (5/20 at 5:00 PM5/23 at 10:00 AM, and 5/26 at noon) and five options for small-group discussions (5/21 at 6:00 PM5/22 at noon5/27 at 6:00 PM5/29 at noon, and 6/4 at 7:00 PM). The webinar presentation will be recorded and available online. Registration is required for both small-group discussions and webinars.

Input will also be gathered through an online survey, which will be available on the website from May 20-June 10. There is also a toll-free number available; interested parties can call (833) 752-6428 to hear a project overview and provide comments.
