Reservations are required during COVID-19 to ensure that we are operating our facilities safely and within the capacity guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and/or Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
Yes, we will review our reservations and operations on an on-going basis and will update our procedures in accordance with new guidance/mandates and communicate that to customers.
The household account is a one-time setup in our processing system and that lets us know the name and contact information of customers using our facilities. This helps us identify customers if there was a potential outbreak and notify them quickly. If you ever registered for a Charlottesville Parks & Recreation program, purchased an Access Pass (now Fitness and Wellness pass) or summer pool pass, you already have an account and we can locate it if you need assistance.
The rules/restrictions are in place to help ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to make a reservation and use the facilities.
You do not need to pay when making a reservation. You have an option to pre-pay for a Washington Park Pool reservation but are not required to pay. Washington Park Pool has a larger group of customers to check-in during a specific time block and pre-paying will help speed the process of getting into the pool faster.
