PVCC Career Services Annual Job Fair

The Downtown Job Center regularly participates in PVCC Career Services Annual Job Fair. This year’s Job Fair will be held Wednesday, March 30^th, 2022 from 10am to 2pm in the PVCC Main Building. CACVB Hosts Tourism for All Workshops

The Tourism for All workshops will help local tourism partners promote their businesses to visitors, get tapped into the CACVB's destination marketing and development efforts, learn how to put Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives into practice and form a tourism community action plan for the next two years. State of the Community 2022

The Chamber's first annual State of the Community address will consist of executive leadership from the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the University of Virginia. This event will be held on Friday, February 18, 10am-1pm at CODE – The Irving Theater, 225 West Water Street.  

The Bebedero is Moving

The Bebedero is relocating from above The Whiskey Jar to a spot on the mall across from the Violet Crown Theater in the old Downtown Grill location. Construction is well under way and the estimated re-opening is slotted for February.  As quoted from The Bebedero “We have big plans for our new, much cooler location!”. Te veo pronto!

Rockfish Brewing Adding a Location

Rockfish Brewing is expanding in Charlottesville.  The nanobrewery will be opening a second spot on the Downtown Mall. According to owner Peter McIndes, “this will be a couple of firsts for the Downtown Mall – the only brewery and you can bring in outside food, which is kind of a brewery thing”. Plans are to open no later than April 1st. Cheers!
