CFD's 9/11 Memorial Open to the Public this Saturday


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Charlottesville Fire Department's 9/11 Memorial at Fontaine Station 10 is Open to the Public on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Charlottesville Fire Department houses an impressive 9/11 Memorial at the Fontaine Fire Station 10 located at 2420 Fontaine Ave, Charlottesville, VA.  The memorial displays a large piece of steel from the World Trade Center, a portion of the Pentagon,  and a stone from the field in Shanksville, PA.  Additionally, the station's atrium has a collection of pictures, letters, and fire service artifacts.  The memorial is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11.  Please join us for an opportunity for quiet reflection, talk with fire service professionals, and leave notes for your Cville firefighters.
