CPD Seeks Assistance Locating Suspect

 

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - At approximately 12:02 PM on January 3rd, Charlottesville Police officers were dispatched to the University of Virginia Emergency Room (UVA ER) to investigate a reported stabbing. The victim has been identified as adult male Charlottesville resident, Walter Jones.  Mr. Jones suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was able to walk into the UVA ER under his own power.  The incident is believed to have occurred sometime this morning in the 900 block of West Street.  Detectives responded to the UVA ER and West Street to investigate further.  At this time, this is believed to be an isolated incident.  The suspect is described as a tall black male in his early to mid-60’s wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident.
